COUNTERING THE MASS SHOOTER THREAT
A NEW class with very timely content for anyone concerned about the safety of a place of business, house of worship, or school. What can be done to change outcomes of these events? We will analyze past events to learn what had a positive affect on outcome, and what did not. Then we will learn how to develop a detailed emergency operations plan for your situation. Finally we will learn ways to harden and protect your institution both defensively and offensively. Length 8 hours, Cost $75.00.

IOWA CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT
If you are looking for a concealed carry class that goes beyond the online bare bones format this is for you. This class is for responsible firearms owners familiar with operation and use of firearms to obtain or renew a concealed carry permit. You will learn and understand conflict avoidance and situational awareness, the physiology of violent encounters, the legal aspects of using deadly force including the aftermath and dealing with law enforcement. Review Iowa laws covering concealed carry including prohibited locations. Review safe gun handling, safe storage, with a range qualification of 30 rounds. Bring your pistol or arrange a rental at the range, 50 rounds of factory ammunition, eye and hearing protection required.
This class is not intended for beginning shooters, just too much material to cover to include basic shooting instruction. If you are just getting started please attend “Introduction to Pistol Shooting” or the full day “Concealed Carry Fundamentals” class.

INTRODUCTION TO PISTOL SHOOTING
Great for new owners or the prospective owner, Introduction to Pistol Shooting is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to your specific pistol. If you have not purchased a pistol yet, range rentals are available so you can get comfortable before you buy. This course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol. Students will learn rules for safe gun handling; the particular pistol model parts and operation; ammunition basics; shooting fundamentals of grip, stance, hold control, aiming; how to clean the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development.

INTRODUCTION TO RIFLE SHOOTING
Great for new owners or the prospective owner, Introduction to Rifle Shooting is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to your specific Rifle. This course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific Rifle. Students will learn rules for safe gun handling; the particular Rifle model parts and operation; ammunition basics; shooting fundamentals of grip, stance, hold control, aiming; how to clean the rifle; and continued opportunities for skill development.

CONCEALED CARRY FUNDAMENTALS and BEYOND
If you are looking for a concealed carry class that goes well beyond the online bare bones format this is for you. This class will allow a beginning shooter to transition into a responsible firearms owners familiar with operation and use of a pistol to obtain a concealed carry permit. You will learn and understand the importance of conflict avoidance and situational awareness, the physiology of violent encounters, the legal aspects of using deadly force including the aftermath and dealing with law enforcement. Review Iowa laws covering concealed carry including prohibited locations. Review safe gun handling, safe storage, learn develop skills required to effectively conceal and carry a pistol. Be prepared to send approximately 4 hours on the range. Requires a heavy duty pistol appropriate for concealed carry, a STURDY belt, a holster fitting your pistol, and a magazine carrier on the belt capable of holding two full magazines. Live fire requires 200 rounds of factory ammunition. Of course eye and hearing protection required. Bring your pistol or arrange a rental at the range, eye and hearing protection required.

CONCEALED CARRY SKILLSET DEVELOPMENT
For the gun owner with a carry permit looking to improve their pistol handling skills in the areas of speed, drawing from concealment, shot accuracy versus speed, emergency reloads, and reloads with retention, malfunction clearance, and using cover while shooting. We will review conflict avoidance, situational awareness, mindset, legal aspects of use of force including aftermath and dealing with law enforcement. Be prepared to spend approximately 4 hours on the range. Requires a heavy duty pistol appropriate for concealed carry, a STURDY belt, a holster fitting your pistol, and a magazine carrier on the belt capable of holding two full magazines. Live fire requires 200 rounds of factory ammunition. Of course eye and hearing protection required. Scheduling dependent upon availability of range time. Length 8 hours, Cost 120.00.
